The Hotel Derby offers a very central location on the main street of Zermatt, 50 metres from the train station and the Gornergrat Railway and a 5-minute walk from the Sunnegga Cable Car. Free WiFi is available. The rooms in the main building are furnished in chalet-style with a lot of wood, and the rooms in the Residence Bellevue building were renovated in winter 2014. Each unit comes with a minibar, a safety deposit box and a private bathroom. The property also offers apartments with a fully equipped kitchen. Most rooms have a balcony. The restaurant features a terrace and serves Italian and international cuisine, as well as flambé dishes. We grant our hotel guests a 15% discount in our restaurant. The Klein-Matterhorn Cable Car and the Schwarzsee Lake can be reached by bus (included in the ski pass) or on foot in just a few minutes from the Derby Hotel. Shops can be found around the Hotel Derby and a tennis court is a 1-minute walk away. Hiking and biking trails start at the doorstep.

"Keskeinen sijainti pääkadun rautatieaseman puoleisessa päässä. Erittäin kauniisti ja toimivasti toteutettu hotellin remontti muutama vuosi sitten. Huoneessa persoonallisia, mutta todellakin hienosti sekä esteettisesti tehtyjä kalustesijoitteluja. Aamupala oli laadukas ja monipuolinen. Upea kokonaisuus."

"On the main street. Very short walk to the train station, shops and restaurants. Pretty much everything is within walking distance. Breakfast was included. While not a lot of choices, it’s certainly a convenient start to the morning. Most positively, they allowed me to change the booking dates without any problem, even though the Booking.com said no refund and no change allowed."

Lentokentälle pääsee S16-junalla, eikä tarvitse menna Hauptbahnhofin kautta. Eka huone oli pienempi, toinen iso, jossa oli kulmaikkunat, joista ihana näkymä Grossmunsterille. Kahvia ja teetä saatavilla ilmaiseksi. Tulisin uudelleen!"
