Stansin kyläaukiolla sijaitsevan Hotel Engelin moderneissa huoneissa on nykyaikaiset kalusteet ja minimalistinen sisätunnelma. Kahvilabaarin terassilta on näköala aukiolle. Engel-majoituspaikkan vuonna 2011 kunnostetuissa huoneissa on valkoiset seinät, mäntylattia ja selkeitä linjoja. Yksivärisiin sängynpäätyihin on upotettu peilit ja halogeenivalaisimet. Hämärästi valaistussa aamiaishuonessa on tarjolla innovatiivisia ja perinteisiä ruokia, ja kaikki majoitustilat ja tilat soveltuvat liikuntarajoitteisille asiakkaille. Paikallinen juna- ja linja-autoasema on vain 100 metrin päässä, ja Stanserhornin köysiradalle on 200 metriä.

"Exceptionally clean and well maintained facilities. A/C worked really well, not always the case in Switzerland… Easily accessible, free parking. We had a superb dinner at the hotel. The attached restaurant is one of the best in the area. Location is perfect, in the historic center of Stans, with easy access to Stanserhorn funicular."

"The location was perfect for us, just a short walk from the station and the village centre. The room was was comfortable and clean. It had a fridge with complimentary local mineral water, a pod coffee machine and a tv with a good range of channels including English channels. Breakfast included a good selection of freshly baked breads, and croissants, cereals cold meats cheeses, fruit and many different preserves."

"Unfortunately due to Time restraints I could only use the breakfast facility once but was very good and Friendly Staff,(I had to be at work between 06:30 and 07.00AM every day of stay). Koffie Machine in Room helped with this."

"The small town and the hotel exceeded my expectations. The hotel is popular with locals and dinner in the restaurant was excellent. The owners Patricia and Soren and their staff are very welcoming. The location of the town is very good with raill & bus links to almost anywhere. Swiss rail lived up fully to its reputation. A Cable car is situated 200m from hotel and reaches the 1900m at the top of Stanserhorn in minutes. Recommend purchasing a "Tell Pass""
