"Doris, the host was exceptional, welcoming us into her beautiful home. The accommodation was a large comfy self contained room with fridge & en-suite on the top floor of the building in a quiet residential area. Breakfast was tailored to us. Locating the place & parking was easy. The walk to the efficient trams into Basel city centre was simple. We’d recommend."

"Be prepared for Swiss prices in cafes & restaurants, although those in Bottmingen , within walking distance were more reasonable."

"Absolutely wonderful! The early check-in was a huge plus, the breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and the host was simply amazing — warm, welcoming, and very helpful. Highly recommend this place for a cozy and pleasant stay."

"The hosts were really nice and caring and they really did everything to accommodate my needs. I felt really taken care of. Like, for example, they saw that my car didn't have the vignette in the right place and they advise me to put it right to avoid a fine. If I had stayed in a hotel they would not even care I think. Hey also attended to other personal and specific requests I had (for personal reasons I wont share) and they did go above and beyond what I would have expected. Breakfast was very good as well."

"Doris is a wonderful host and nothing was too much trouble. The whole of the property, including the top floor we stayed in, was immaculately clean. Our top floor room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and really set us up for the day. And Doris is happy to work breakfast at whatever time you want. We were even made a cup of tea brought up to our room after a long day. It was very clear that Doris wants to make sure everyone has a lovely stay in her home"

"The only thing I would say is that if you have mobility issues, then the walk from the tram/bus station is 10 minutes and there are inclines. We were fine and you can call a Rufftaxi that would take you to the property for a reasonable 4 or 5 CHF. But it is something to be aware of if you do struggle walking"

"Quiet and cosy. The host will make you feel home and will offer you a breakfast that will meet your need. The room we had was as big as the entire floor, perfectly clean."

"Hard to criticise - very friendly people, quiet location but bear in mind your "tourist tax" gets you free travel on the excellent trams, trains and buses, so it's very easy to get anywhere you need to go. Perfectly clean, good breakfast and overall very good value for money for Switzerland."

"No criticisms. Just for further info; Bear in mind it's about 10 minutes' walk from the tram/train and slightly uphill, but that will be fine for most people as it was for me. Room was of course not en suite, but that's fine. Note that if possible they like payment in cash, though I believe they take cards if needed (there's a cashpoint at the station,)."
