The romantic Monastery Hotel in the peaceful garden of the Strahov Monastery offers superb views of Prague Castle, Lesser Town, the Old Town and the Vltava river. Prague Castle is just a few steps away and all the other historic sights of the Golden City are easily accessible on foot as well or by public transport. The modern interior design uniquely complements the ancient style of this building. All rooms feature a flat-screen satellite TV, free high-speed internet and tea and coffee making facilities. An internet point and a wireless internet zone is available in the lobby free of charge. Drinks can be purchased at the reception, which can also arrange sightseeing tours and excursions. Due to the historic monument protection there is no lift in the building. All rooms are accessible only by stairs. The reception is only open from 07:00 to 19:00. When booking 9 or more people or 4 or more rooms for the same date, through one or more bookings, the hotel may apply different payment and cancellation policies. Please note that the same credit/debit card that was used for the prepayment of your booking needs to be presented upon arrival. If you are not the card holder or wish to cover the cost of the booking with a different credit card, please contact the hotel in advance. Contact details are stated in the book ng confirmation. It is possible to park your car in locked parking in hotel’s backyard (max. width 215 cm, max. height 190 cm). Reservation of parking is required.

"Aamiainen oli riittävän monipuolinen. Leipävalikoima voisi olla tuoreuden osalta parempi. Ja kuohuviiniä saisi aamiaisella olla tarjolla, kuten oli ennen aikaisemmin. Aamiaistila on keväällä, kesällä ja alkusyksyllä erinomainen ja miellyttävä, kun myös sisäpihan ulkoterassialue on käytettävissä. Sijainti erinomainen ja respan henkilökunta ystävällistä ja avuliasta. Suosittelen hotellia erityisesti kevät-kesä.alkusyksyn aikaan. Huoneissa ei ole kuitenkaan ilmastointia ja jäähdytystä, joten kesäkuumilla keleillä nukkuminen on haastavaa. Pieni hotelli 12 huonetta vanhassa rakennuksessa luostarialueen sisällä. Hotellin sisustus miellytti myös."
"WC-tilan valaistus ja samassa katkaisijassa kova-ääninen puhallin wc-tilassa on huono ratkaisu. Puhallin wc-tilassa on erittäin äänekäs."

"Exceptionally helpful reception. This hotel is the surely most delightful hidden treasure in Prague - both respectful of the history of the building and environment, whilst providing a comfortable and secluded stay. Wake to bird-song in the morning and go to sleep in probably the quietest spot in the city you'll ever find. The bath-tubs are welcome after a day's walking!Please visit the local pub U Cerneho Vola which is 200m away - it helps support a neighbouring school for the blind."

"Its location, a little away from the centre,might discourage a few travellers but it's only 8 minutes on the frequent 22 tram ( part of a superb capital transport system - free for under 15s and over 65s ,and reduced fares for over 60s )but located amongst a group of lovely historical buildings and within easy walking distance to the well - worth a visit Prague Castle .And more powerful bedside reading lights wouldn't go amiss ."

Wonderful location: within the monastery walls, with high ceilings and a feeling of both space and comfort, full of charm and atmosphere. The staff deserve special thanks: the manager and the waitress Oksana — all very attentive, friendly, and professional. High-quality and varied breakfast. Overall, a place with character and history, offering a true sense of comfort. We would gladly return."

"The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The bedroom was really clean, with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was a great range of items to choose from - very impressive. The location was beautiful, in a picturesque cobbled square - a little out of town and up the hill but we walked into the centre in around 20-30 minutes each day."
"The layout of the bedroom was a bit tricky to work with. The bathroom and a small area of storage space (along with tea & coffee facilities) was on the first level, then we had to climb a steep metal staircase to the area with our bed. We were right up on the top floor(s) of the building, so the roof sloped in, leaving very little space to move around the bedroom, and nowhere else to store any clothes. There was one chair at a desk on the lower level, but if we wanted to sit down together for a coffee, we had to climb up to lie on the bed. Don't think this would have been an issue for younger people!"
