"Property was cosy and lived up to the name of a historic cave. For those seeking for experience and adventure, this is a good one to book. Quiet. Naomi was very very lovely and was very prompt in her responses. We really appreciate that."

"As it was largely all single beds and one double bed ( which was clearly stated in the listing - so no fault of Naomi), it was harder for us to bunk with young kids. The kitchen could use a bit more of cleaning up!"

"All of the rooms are spacious. The decor is lovely, with lots of nice French furniture. It is well-equipped with kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, and a great iron and ironing board. There is a washing machine/dryer, and full-sized fridge. The host is super friendly and helpful. Parking is provided. The cave is unique and our house had a well in it, which was pretty cool."

"The shower is very small. The kitchen could be cleaner, but everywhere else is clean. The entry area needed weeding."

"It was an unique experience living in a cave. The details of the home shows the attention and taste of Naomi and family. The decroation is full of charactors with vintage furniture collection. Home was super clean. Naomi was very friendly, reponsive, helpful and flexible - We had to change the travel dates once, Naomi accomodated quickly and very kindly."

"Although we greately appriecated charactors of the home and the hospitality of the hosts, we think living in a cave home such as this one is not ecological. The cave is constantly humid, due to lack of natural ventilation, there is always a musty smell when you enter the home. The hosts have made great effortst to improve the condition (which we appreciated a lot): There are dihumidifier, a few air conditioners, and heaters provided to improve the ventilation and tempreture. Without these equipments, living here would be quite uncomfortable. The two bedrooms are not part of the cave - rather in a house attached to the cave, so they are a lot more comfortable - like normal houses. But to enjoy the living room (cave), or the sofa bed (It's our case as we have 6 adults), you would need to use heaters and dihumidifiers constantly. (We arrived on raining days too). We felt guilty about having to use all these equipments all the time. (It was also my own fault that I had no idea what to expect living in a cave when choosing the accomodation)."

"The house is extremely unique, it was refurbished in an amazing state and with a great taste in everything, it all felt extremely cozy. The location is pretty good, being very close to both Amboise and Tours, as well as to the castles. The host was exceptionally friendly and it was a pleasure talking to her, she was very communicative and arranged everything, while also helping us with any questions."

"Amazing experience to stay in a cave dwelling! Very unusual and atmospheric, with charming traditional furnishings. The bedroom was spacious, cosy and comfortable, with easy chairs and a writing desk. To be honest as a couple we rattled around a bit in the cavernous part of the accommodation and spent most of our time in the bedroom, which was easier to heat too. The place would be fabulous for a group of four. Lovely location looking out over a wooded valley, with some nice walks."

"A little more in the way of instructions for such things as the TV and the microwave (impossible for old people to figure out!) would be helpful."

From the quirkiness (in a good way) of living partly in a cave, the spaciousness, the furnishings and decor, the facilities (eg well equipped kitchen) and the bonus of streaming services (Netflix, YouTube). You're in for a treat if it rains. Naomi is an excellent communicator and all questions were answered thoroughly and quickly. All in all the best we have stayed in whilst travelling Europe. A good location to tour the Loire region."
