"Extraordinary nice, old, traditional building filled with antiques. Surrounded by a park at the outskirts of a beautiful village. Very pleasant 3-course dinner, traditional and good French cuisine. Very spacious and well-equipped room. Stylish old bathroom, still very well functioning. Friendly service. Good relation price/quality. Also well heated on a cold and wet evening in late October."

"The property is stunning and has an amazing history as I was told by the owner. I had the pool for myself, the garden is amazing and the entire atmosphere of the place set you back to medieval times. A must for lovers of historic building and the history of the Order of Malta!"

"Amazing building run by a lovely hostess. In beautiful gardens with a pool. The hamlet is also highly interesting. Right on the river. Good food. It’s abit quirky so if you can’t cope with a few cobwebs or abit of clutter it’s probably not for you but we had a very enjoyable stay."

"We ate both breakfast and supper here. The meals were delicious and lovingly presented. We stayed here to absorb the Templar history. We loved it. Our arrival coincided with the opening of the access road following the historic flooding in the area. We were warm and dry and cosy."

"The property was unlocked so we just went in - there are still rural places where you can do that! The location was a rural village in a beautiful area with Lizard Orchids growing opposite the gite. We could sit outside which was in shade later in the day (which, at 38 degrees, we needed!) or sit down in the meadow across the road near to a stream - there was a barbecue here which was for guests use. The gite was spacious and facilities good. The water is drinkable from the tap. The village doesn't have a shop, but you can get groceries from Lalley or Chatillon-en-Diois, and there is an excellent restaurant in nearby Grimone. It is a quiet area with little traffic - bliss! Lots of walking trails and good cycling. The property was easy to find - it's the first track on the left as you enter the village from Grimone."

The breakfast was lovely, with croissants, jams, plain homemade yogurts and crunchy bread. Definitely worth the visit if you’re looking for a mini break to get away and unwind."
