"The location of Le Defi is on the outskirts of Fouras, but only a 5 minute drive to the beaches and sights and a 15 minute walk to L'Esperance beach and 2-3 minutes to the excellent local Super U supermarket. The apartment is on the second floor and was light, airy and very spacious with a huge bathroom and power shower. Anna our host met us on arrival and was super helpful with directions and restaurant options. She could not have been more helpful."
"Nothing really, but some people may not like the outside staircase to the apartment. It was not an issue for us and we really appreciated the huge outside parking space."
"This was a self catering appartment so no breakfast included. The nearest boulangerie was only a 5-10 minutes drive and opened at 07.00 daily so fresh bread and croissants for breakfast. The indoor food market was also open daily 07.00 - 13.00 Anna was so welcoming and helpful !"

"It was modern and had all the creature comforts we needed. It was in a good location, near Fouras centre and within easy reach of good beaches. We were able to swim each day. Not far from La Rochelle which is an ideal place to visit."

"View of the sea and beach, just 10 minutes stroll into the centre, plenty of space for 4 people and extremely well equipped with everything you might need"
"A lovely traditional Alsace house with courtyard garden and secure off-street/under-cover parking. The house has been in the owner's family for many years and has a lovely old-charm feel to it, with a nice mix of modern and old. The house was beautifully prepared, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Whilst our host Claude was unable to meet us himself, he ensured that a friend and neighbour was available an hour or so after we arrived to make sure that we were happy and had everything we needed. Communication was great and we very much enjoyed our stay here. The house is on a corner of the main square, looking across to the Town Hall, but Epfig is a only a small village and it was nice to be able to open our windows and feel like a local for a day or two! The church is just a few steps away from the house and the bells do strike on each quarter hour (6am to 10pm), but we really didn't find it a problem at all - it was all part of the atmosphere!"

"Very welcoming host. Absolutely dog friendly and the garden is enclosed to there was ample space for a game of fetch. Very comfy bed but you need to be comfortable with the loft situation. Wifi worked very well and there is a small shopping centre with supermarket, boulangerie and pharmaxy approximately 5 minutes drive away."
