Metropol kätkeytyy Pariisin vilkkaalla alueella, vain 300 metrin päässä Gare du Nord -rautatieasemasta. Sen huoneissa on omat kylpysviitit ja parvekkeet, ja putiikkihotellissa on oma baari. "This was my second stay at the Metropol – I'd been there a couple of years before with a group of students, this time, I booked two single rooms for myself and a family member. The Metropol is an hotel rather typical for the area around the Gare Du Nord / Gare de l’Est – it is kind of old, but well-kept. The rooms on the sixth floor were really nice and seemed to have been renovated recently. The baths were clean; one even had a bathtub. The staff is exceptionally friendly, from the concierge to the cleaning lady, everybody was nice and greeted us with a smile. Really nice people. Our rooms had windows to the back yard, so they were really quiet, even though the busy Boulevard Magenta is just a few steps away. Taking the Metro at the station Barbes-Rochechouart a few hundred metres above the hotel gets you downtown in minutes. So, just what we needed for a three-night-stay. Can’t say anything about breakfast, because we didn’t take it at the hotel."
