Hostellit Mongoliassa

"Majatalo on aivan rannassa. Ranta on mukulakivikkoa, mutta ei teräviä kiviä. Oli mukava käydä uimassa aamuin illoin. Terassilta aukeni näkymä upeisiin auringonlaskuihin"

Liikenteen melu joskus häiritsi. Ei kuitenkaan yöllä.

My fault choose the yurt room because I always pee in the night and the toilet in the main house. The location far from the city, if u wanna a quite place and for long stay, its recomended.

"Meillä ei ollut ikkunattomalle hostellihuoneelle kovin korkeita odotuksia, joten vierailu oli täynnä pelkästään positiivisia yllätyksiä! Sijainti oli aivan loistava ihan keskustassa ravintoloiden ympäröimänä, eikä meidän huoneeseen kuulunut lainkaan ulkomaailman ääniä, kun ikkunoita ulos ei ollut. Muutenkaan ikkunattomuus ei haitannut meitä lainkaan, huone oli hyvin siisti ja yksiöksi tilava ja omat WC-tilat meille iso plussa. Wi-Fi toimi erinomaisesti. Pesimme hostellin pesulassa pyykkiä ja se oli tehokasta ja todella kätevää. Henkilökunta oli ihanan avuliasta ja muutenkin ilmapiiri oli aina todella hyvä. Mahtava hostellikokemus!"

Kaikki huoneet eivät sijaitse samssa paikassa, vaan me yövyimme kahdessa muussa joista toinen 4 ja toinen 7 min päässä varsinaisesta hostellista. Kauemmassa oli oma keittiö, mutta lähempien olisi kai ollut tarkoitus käyttää hostellin keittiöä.

"Relatively quiet and central location. Helpful and kind staff. Breakfast was amazing with a wide variety including fresh fruit like bananas, apples and oranges. Interesting events, one of them was free pancakes on a Friday night. I enjoyed my stay along with the roommates I met as mutual understanding is crucial."

The ladder for the bunk bed could be improved, maybe softer steps or an extra step on the lower part. A small investment for even better pillows would be welcome in the future.

"Työntekijät todella mukavia. Saatiin heti tervetuliaismalja ja erityisesti aamiaista järjestävä mies todella sympaattinen, tarjosi hedelmiä yms. Joka toinen päivä myös ilmaista olutta, jolloin helppo sosialisoitua. Todella hyvä sijainti ja dormit muutaman hengen huoneissa. Bookkasimme hostellin kautta Ha Giang loopin ja se oli todella helppo ja onnistunut retki. Saimme myös jättää rinkkamme koko retken ajaksi hostelliin. Kaiken kaikkiaan kodikas ja miellyttävä kokemus. Palausimme milloin vain uudestaan"

Siisteys muuten ok, mutta yksi torakka huoneessamme antaa siisteydelle miinuksen.

"Was really social which was great as I was solo travelling. Staff were helpful."

No curtains on the bed. I also was charged twice for my stay here a long time after I left which was disappointing to see but I did get refunded.

"MyFarm is not just a place to sleep. It is a vibrant place full of life. You wake up from the sound of beautiful birds in the morning, you can join the MyFarm team for breakfast and talk about their daily life here. All the staff is super nice and accommodating. It's amazing to be inside such a wonderful place that gives out free education to the people who live around here. I ended up helping out in the different educational programs and I loved every moment of it. I thought I just went for a cheap place to stay that was also social, but I got so much more. I will definitely come back as a volunteer to the project."

"Entinen olympiakylä, eli oma tunnelmansa tässä ajatuksessa. Henkilökunta erittäin mukavaa. Järjestyssääntöjen mukainen hiljaisuusaika piti hyvin."

Huone oli pieni ja kuuma, pesuaineita ei ollut. Äänieristys huonoa.

"The hostel was pretty clean. The staff at the reception were friendly, helpful, and patient. They have a lot of knowledge about tourism in Bagan and were always happy to give advice or answer questions. It was also very convenient that they can help you book buses directly at the hostel, and that you can rent e-bikes. Another big plus is the atmosphere. The hostel is social, but not in an overwhelming way. It’s not loud or pushy. There are great opportunities to connect with other travelers if you want, but you can also just sit by the pool and enjoy some quiet time. I think this place is perfect both for people looking for peace and quiet and for those who want to meet others."

There wasn’t much to complain about. The only small improvement I can think of would be adding curtains to the beds, which would give a bit more privacy.

"Henkilökunta puhui hyvin englantia. Keskeinen sijainti. Hostellista sai hyvän kartan ja vinkkejä vierailukohteisiin. Naisille oli oma suihku."

Säilytys ja koukkutilaa oli vähän, huoneet ja pesutilat olivat ahtaat ja oleskelutiloja ei ollut keittiön lisäksi. Keittiö oli suttuinen. Pyyhkeet haisi kastuessaan pahalle, ne voisi uusia. Kahdeksan huoneen dormissa oli huono ja tunkkainen ilma.

"Sijanti on hyvä, ruokakauppa kohtuu lähellä, hyvät mahdollisuudet tehdä ruokaa tai käydä ulkona syömässä, iloinen henkilökunta,iloista porukkaa, väljät oleskelutilat."

Sänky nitisi aina kun vähänkin liikkui se oli todella ärsyttävää.

You need to be careful at the lower bunk - not much space between the bunks, everyone hits their head at least once.

"Had a comfortable stay here for 1 night layover, Dany was a great host. I enjoyed visiting the night market nearby where you get to see a slice of local life. The dorm room is quite basic but great for the price, and bathroom facilities were clean."

No options for breakfast. Water was not hot,was cold. Not perfect,but worf the money you pay

"Charlie welcomed me very friendly and introduced me to the house and facilities. Everything was very clean and welcoming. Communication was absolute great and there was no issues at all. Although I accidentally chose the wrong room when I booked, she allowed me to change it (I wanted a female room) without hesitation. Thanks Charlie for your great hospitality, I will definitely recommend 77 Tourist House!"

"Hostellin ilmapiiri oli sosiaalinen ja rento. Yhteinen tila ja keittiö oli kotoisa ja viihtyisä. Keittiössä kaikki tarvittava ja hintaan kuului kahvi ja pientä aamupalaa. En pitänyt ensin saamastani huoneesta, joten henkilökunta ystävällisesti antoi minun siirtyä toiseen huoneeseen. Työntekijät olivat muutenkin todella mukavia ja auttavaisia bussiaikataulujen kanssa. Päärakennuksen huoneet ovat erilliseen rakennukseen verrattuna paremmat ja siistimmät. Kaappiin tarvitsee oman lukon. Viihtyisä piha-alue"

Piharakennuksen huone oli pieni ja ilma tunkkainen. Päärakennuksen huoneet paremmat. Muuten hintaansa nähden hyvä parin päivän vierailulle.

"The atmosphere is very welcoming, homely, laidback. The staff are both locals and volunteers and this mix creates a great atmosphere. The friday braais are great for meeting people and can be a good pre-drinks for going out. Next to that it isn't a massive party hostel, which is a good thing to me. It's social, and many drinks are done in the evening in the common area, but when you go to sleep it has mostly quieted down. People that want to party further go out to the city at that point. There aren't that many other activities, but people organize it through the hostel whatsapp. Sometimes they do a volley session on the beach or volunteers might initiate something like Laura starting her Thursdays morning workout! Also, they are very relaxed in letting us borrow some coolers from the kitchen to go to the beach or a weekend festival even."

I would love it if the volley would become a weekly scheduled thing too. That on Wednesday / Tuesday and the braai on Fridays would be the perfect amount of planned activities combined with spontaneous stuff that's planned through whatsapp.

There was no one there when I arrived and no one replied on WhatsApp. I stayed in the living room from 7am to 11am waiting for something to happen when I actually had messaged the owner days before to say I would arrive early and if I could do early check in. Fortunately the lady working there appeared and allowed me to take a bed before check in time around midday! Very kind !

"Fantastic location. I had a private room and bathroom. Fantastic. Quiet, helpful staff and a great location. Loved it. Super close to walking up the hill for a great view over the city and close to all key sites in the old city. Inexpensive and good value. I didn't eat breakfast there as there is a wonderful garden cafe 1 min walk in the same street which is lovely for good coffee and food."

Hot water was a little temperamental and loo leaked.

"Todella siisti, helppo sisäänkirjautuminen ja hyvät ohjeet! Keittiötilat olivat todella hyvät!"

Huoneissa tai yleisissä tiloissa oli todella huonosti pistorasioita, mikä oli hieman haastavaa.
