Ytri Vík perustettu Hauganesissa 27 km:n päässä Akureyrista. Se tarjoaa grillin sekä porealtaan. Paikan päällä on samoin ilmainen yksityinen turvallinen autotallialue, ja asiakkailla on käytettävissään ilmainen WiFi. Kaikissa majoitusyksiköissä on taulu-tv, ja joissakin niissä on muuten ruokailutila ja/tai terassi. Keittiössä on mikroaaltouuni, leivänpaahdin, jääkaappi, liesi ja vedenkeitin. Jokaisessa majoitusyksikössä on oma kylpyhuone, jossa on kylpyamme tai suihku. Ytri Víkissa on muuten poreallas. Alueella voi harrastaa erilaisia aktiviteetteja, kuten hiihtoa, ratsastusta ja sukellusta.

"Unbelievable location. I wish we had booked this place for our whole stay in Iceland - I would have sacrificed doing the whole ring road for just staying here. Soaking into the hot tub in the Nordic Light-ful and snowy winter night with the views of The fjord and snowy mountains is just irreplacable. We even saw whales in the fjord even in winter. The cottage is nice even for 8 people, we were comfortable. Only the one small availavle pot were not sufficient, but since i have not asked for more i do not want to raise this since the only issue we had (one heater not working) they immediately sent a service person who fixed it."

"Absolutely loved our stay here - again! Close to the fjord, out of town and such a peaceful and quiet place. We got to watch skies filled with stars and the Northern lights, right from the hot tub or veranda! And when a storm was forecasted, the host was so kind to think along and extend our stay, so we wouldn’t have to travel through code orange. Surely we’ll be back here again in one of our next stays."

"I was afraid the cottages would be old, but they are very well updated and modern and warm. Yes smallish, but very cosy in my opinion. The greatest thing is the hottub with view on the tourist whaling boats, so you know where to look to see the whales. I liked the lower temperature as it enables you to soak for hours. So modern, comfortable, great views of the water and mountains."

"It would be nice if there was a tiny foot path from where we park the car, in front of the cabin, up to the door. Or if there was a snow shovel, so we could create one ourselves."
