"Everything was amazing. The room was wonderful, the bed was sooo comfortable & as for the settee in the room, I would love one. The buffet breakfast was exceptional & sets you up for the day. The staff were really friendly."

"The location of the hotel was excellent for many of the sites I wished to see. The room was large and comfortable, and it was helpful to have a kettle available for hot drinks. I overlooked a canal, which was good, it was nice to be able to hear water traffic now and again being in Venice. The bathroom was well-appointed. Breakfast was good with a good quality of coffee, and the staff at breakfast and on reception were helpful when I had questions."

"It was a shame that the bar was closed, so there was little opportunity to relax outside of the bedroom in the evenings. I did not want cleaning every day, so I used the do not disturb sign, but the cleaners still knocked and asked, which felt wrong when I had asked not to be disturbed; however, they were very polite. It might be helpful to have a separate sign for guests to use when they do not want cleaning that day."

"Granddaughter and I loved the generous size of our room, which was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It is in a prime location excellent for sightseeing, 10/10. Staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. The porter took our luggage to our room and showed us how everything functioned. We were made to feel welcome and comfortable. We would definitely come back here again!"

"There was absolutely nothing we could complain about. Some people might perhaps not be happy with the selection at breakfast. Plenty of excellent coffee, fresh juices, fruit and what else was on offer made us more than content."

"The location of the hotel is brilliant Literally 3 mins walk to the Basilica San Marco, and just a 2 min walk to Vaporetto water bus and Alilaguna airport water bus stop. And a Traghetti cross canal ferry station. The hotel has a rear door providing entry and exit from/into water taxi's. The hotel staff were very pleased quick and positive in reply to several pre holiday requests I made for them to book restaurant table bookings. I had stayed in the hotel once before back in 2014, prior to boarding a cruise ship holiday."

"The hotel quoted 220 Euro to arrange private transport for 2 persons for a door to door service from VCE Marco Polo airport to the hotels canal entrance door. This involved a taxi by road and then water taxi. A high cost, when for just 18 Euro per person the Alilaguna water bus takes one from the airport marina to the San Giglio stop just 2 mins on foot from the hotel."
