"The pool is lovely and the garden too. I had a really nice breakfast lots of fruit and ate a the Villa twice. Same price as town for prawns and fish. Anu arranged my trips to release the turtles and a river boat trip. Both were great and worth doing. The hotel has a Tuk Tuk and takes you to the beach and will collect you too."

"It’s about 3.5km from the beach and restaurants but they’ll take you for free in their Tuk Tuk. Can’t walk as it’s too far and back roads"

"Tranquil location, the sound of the birds, the garden views from the balcony, all wonderful. Breakfast was the nicest we’ve had since arriving in Sri Lanka and the staff so friendly. Tuk tuk always available for quick transport to the beach."

"This small hotel turned out to be an absolute gem. It’s cozy, beautifully maintained, and has a stunning garden along with a fantastic pool. We also loved the two Dalmatian dogs, they truly added charm and joy to our stay. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. They arranged everything from transportation to local tips and made sure we had everything we needed. We can highly recommend staying here."

"After our stay, we received a bill that showed several items were not included but charged as extras something that had never been communicated to us. For example, even an espresso at breakfast came with an unexpected additional cost. This was an unpleasant surprise. If you choose to stay here, make sure to check carefully what is included and what each item costs. It’s also a good idea to keep your own record of what you order to avoid any unexpected charges at checkout."

"We stayed with our 2 children and just loved this place, you will not be disappointed. Abu and his team were fantastic and could not do enough to help. The pool and gardens are wonderful, our kids loved spot and Bella (pup) Dalmatian’s. breakfast was delicious and plentiful, homemade juices, and super Sri Lankan dishes. We stayed 2 nights and wished we had booked longer, the air conditioning is needed and worked well. We will definitely return for some of the best Arak cocktails!"

"The only small thing, pillows are large and firm, maybe a selection for next time, but we had a great time and it wouldn’t stop us coming back."

"The building was nice - colonial style. The room was big, with wardrobe so you could unpack. The balcony, veranda and pool were really good. Staff were friendly - pot of tea and cake were given when came back from long day sight seeing. The breakfast was good - fruit bowl, yoghurt, honey, juice, omelet, toast. Manager was very quick to arrange tuk tuk pick ups via whatsapp. Fresh towels were provided every day."

"There was a building site in the garden which wasnt screened off and was active every day. Although it wasnt that noisy but the workers could see you swimming or relaxing by the pool. The description of facilities on booking.com didnt quite match reality: no complimentary tuk tuk (as mentioned in the host's intro) - you had to pay every time no events like Bollywood night or Kandyan dancing (as shown in the photos) no yoga, no bathrobes (as mentioned in description) No information given about local sights or the bicycles (as mentioned in the description) The doors in the room needed a clean up and the light switches were very dirty (the rest of the room was fine). The safe in the room didnt work - I reported it to 2 members of staff but it wasnt looked at. Generally didnt meet expectations."
