Rauhallisella alueella Ķegumsissa sijaitseva Oškrogs tarjoaa asiakkailleen lämpimästi sisustetut motellihuoneet, kahvilan ja saunan. Asiakkaat voivat maistella paikallisia ja latvialaisia ruokia ravintolassa sekä käyttää ilmaista Wi-Fi-yhteyttä. Oškrogsissa on drinkkibaari sekä aurinkoinen terassi. Asiakkaat voivat rentoutua saunassa lisämaksua vastaan ja paikan päällä on samoin lasten leikkipaikka. Ravintolassa on näkyvät, vihreät puuparrut, ja tarjolla on laaja valikoima perinteisiä, paikallisia aterioita, jotka valmistetaan paikallisista tuotteista, kuten metsämarjoista ja tuoreesta kalasta. Aamiaisvaihtoehto on maksuton. Motelli kätkeytyy 600 metrin päässä Līčupe-joesta ja 1 km:n päässä Ķegums HES -moottoritieltä, joka yhdistää Riian Jaunjelgavaan.

"Oli jo tiedossa millainen paikka on kyseessä, ei siis mikään uuttutta hohkava steriili huoneisto, vaan camp- henkeä huokuva tunnelmallinen paikka, isäntä järjesti toivomamme tilan grilli iltaan toi tuolit yms."

"A proper modern european apartment to spend one or few nights. Extremely well equipped and clean. Contactless key collection, washing machine and iron, hair dryer, etc. We even found some tea. Very nice indeed."

"Excellent location. Very well equipped. Nice, large bathroom. And we were greeted with champagne! In addition, the host is very responsive and quick to get in touch. Great place for up to 3 people! There were four of us and we stayed there for over a week, most nights just two or three of us slept there. The couple nights though, when all four of us slept in the accommodation, became very cramped, but the host warned us about it, although a few nights are not a big problem. In any case, I would not recommend to take this apartment longer for a night or two, if you are 4 people, and all of you plan to actually sleep there, and good night sleep is what you are seeking for - otherwise - one of the finest choices to explore Valmiera to the fullest! :)"

"I loved everything about this place, location is perfect, if you're traveling by train or autobus 10-15 mins walk maximum. You don't have to worry about groceries, small mini-mart is 3 mins walk away with everything you may need, If you arrive late and the mini mart is closed,you can always grab something to eat at Circle-K gas station open 24hrs. If your stay is short and you want to explore Valmiera, you may have to come again, because once you enter the apartment, you won't want to go outside. It's so nice and cozy and equipped with everything. On my stay I didn't go outside once. I highly recommend this place."
