Amsterdamin keskustassa sijaitseva laivahostelli Vita Nova on 1 km:n päässä keskusasemalta. Se kätkeytyy Nemo-tiedekeskuksen vieressä. Majoituspaikassa on ilmainen WiFi julkisissa tiloissa. Vita Nova -laivan hytit ovat yksinkertaisesti sisustettuja, ja niissä on kokolattiamatto. Kaikissa hyteissä on lämmitys ja käsienpesuallas kuumalla ja kylmällä vedellä. Jaetuissa kylpyhuoneissa on suihku. Muita mukavuuksia ovat liinavaatteet ja pyyhkeet. Asiakkaat voivat aloittaa päivänsä tyypillisellä hollantilaisella aamiaisella, joka sisältää esimerkiksi erilaisia leipiä, juustoa, leivonnaisia ja kahvia tai teetä. Asiakkaiden käytettävissä on yhteinen jääkaappi, mikroaaltouuni, lautaset ja ruokailuvälineet. Kadun toisella puolella on monia erilaisia ravintoloita italialaisesta etiopialaiseen. Laivan kannelta vieraat voivat iloita panoraamanäkymistä joihinkin Amsterdamin vanhimpiin ja uusimpiin alueisiin. Pyöräautojen säilytys ja matkatavarasäilytys ovat muuten käytettävissä. Laiva sijoitettu Unescon maailmanperintökohteisiin kuuluvan keskuskanavaringin loppupäässä. Damrak-katu ja Punaisten lyhtyjen alue ovat vain 15 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä.

The vita nova gives you what you need not necessarily what you want - if you are considering staying on this vessel, do not hesitate - we had so much fun, the room was great the shower was better than mine at home and the location was perfect too - will definitely be back!"

"The overall experience was good. Room was clean and ready upon arrival. Breakfast was good. The fact that the boat moved to another location in Amsterdam was amazing. We got to experience the cruise sitting on the deck. The new location was Zandam is beautiful and not far from other attractions."

"Cool boat to stay at with a really good breakfast. Location is pretty good, we did have the same mooring during our stay but the email did say the location changes. Rooms surprisingly were very warm, we went in winter"
"The WiFi was a little patchy and couldn't use it well in the room. Limited shower/toilet options but probably expected given living on the boat. The shower only options you had to hang out your towel or clothes outside, I do think perhaps having the hook on the door might make it easier to access these after shower"
