Peneda-Gerêsin kansallispuistossa sijaitseva Quinta do Caneiro - Gerês on hiljainen ja luonnonkaunis huvila, jolta on suora pääsy Caniçadan padolle. Luonnon ympäröimän majoituspaikan lähettyvillä on monia kävelyreittejä. Ilmastoidussa huvilassa on takka, täysin käytössä kylpyhuone, poreamme, tv, DVD-soitin, mukaanaan keittiö ja erillinen ruokailutila. Muita mukavuuksia ovat parveke, terassi sekä järvi-, puutarha- ja massiivistoperspektiivit. Asiakkaat voivat käyttää Quinta do Caneiron täysin käytössäa keittiötä ruoanlaittoon omalla vapaa-ajallaan. Keittiössä on mikroaaltouuni, uuni, jääkaappi, kahvinkeitin ja astianpesukone. Taloon kuuluu yhdessä tilava terassi, jossa on grillausmahdollisuus. Asiakkaat voivat rentoutua ulkona puutarhassa, käydä pyöräreissulla tai patikoida ympäröivillä vehreillä viheralueilla. Alle 10 minuutin ajomatkan päässä talolta voi harrastaa monia vesiurheilulajeja, kuten melontaa ja vesihiihtoa. Järjestettävissä on muuten vesiskootterilla ajelua ja veneretkiä. Gerêsin kuumat lähteet ovat 15 minuutin ajomatkan päässä. Historiallinen Braga ja sen erilaiset kulttuurikohteet, kuten kuuluisa Sé de Braga -katedraali, ovat 44 minuutin ajomatkan päässä. Porton kansainväliselle lentoasemalle on 75 minuutin ajomatka Quinta do Caneirolta.

"This house at that location is just a little paradise. The access via a pretty steep and narrow road is a little challenging - it is therefore good, to rent a car, which is not too big. The location directly at the Rio Caldo is great, you can go swimming every day - even in October. the furnishing shows a lot of taste of the owner Miguel - he is btw very friendly and super pragmatic - we loved the stay in his house a lot and are already discussing to come back."

"Location is simply outstanding, very quiet. The house made of stone, so it is pleasantly cool inside even in a hot day. You got direct and private access to the river thus the air is fresh.The interior is top notch and decorations are authentic. Amenities are modern enough. There is an outside fireplace for cooking and a separate stone oven for pizza and such."
"Last 15m of the road to get there. Quite steep and narrow. But fret not, our car 1.8 liters FWD with 130mm of clearance did just fine there even with 4 people inside. Just don't bring your Ferrari sedans there :)"
"Amazing location with direct access to the river Caldo and short drive to the public beach of Alqueirão that has several amenities. The property is gorgeous and very comfortable for 6 people. The hosts were great and always contactable. The final access to the property is through a steep narrow road, takes some skill at first but once used to it it's OK. We spent most days just down on the river next to the house as it felt like a private beach."
