Scenically set in the village of Sörsjön, this hostel is 35 km north of Sälen at the base of Fulufjället Mountain. It offers communal kitchen facilities and spa treatments on site. All rooms at Norrsjön have wooden floors and access to shared bathrooms. Some include views over the garden, stream and mountains. Shared facilities include a sauna, BBQ equipment and a TV lounge with sofas and magazines. Norrsjön staff can arrange snow scooter rental, as well as Icelandic horseback riding and dog sledding tours. Sauna is booked by the hour for an extra fee Canoeing and fishing in the Fuluälven stream are common area activities. Fulufjället ski lifts are 10 km away. Mora is 100 km from the hostel, while the Njupeskär Waterfall is within 40 minutes’ drive.

"Really nice house in the middle of the huge forest. It's beautiful. The house is cozy and has everything you need. There is a big waterfall to see close by, activities with dogs and also a farm with mooses and half-wolves."

"This place is so peaceful and traditionally Swedish. The location by the river is idyllic and a fresh covering of snow made it all so magical. The owners Daniel and Anna are so friendly and helpful they couldn’t be better. Nothing, and I mean nothing is too much trouble."

Excellent shared kitchenette, but really a complete kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, fridge and freezer and utensils. Could make my own breakfast there although the offered breakfast is excellent too."

"There were no dark curtains, so in the summer it was quite light throughout the night. Considering the age of the building- soundproofing isn't the best, so we heard every noise that was made in the room next to ours."

The sauna with its incredible views (all though we didn’t have time to try it, looked amazing) great homey, cozy feeling “hygge”. Great location & close enough to the ski slopes. Charming property with even more charm in summer when you can swim in the lake, use the hottub & bonfires."
"we loved it, but the matras & oven could use an upgrade. Its a very charming historical property, downside is that its quite noisy, if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs;) The curtains let in a lot of light, bring an eye mask if you don’t want to wake at sunrise;)"
