Vuonna 2015 kokonaan uusittu Hostel Pirano asemoi Piran historiallisessa osassa vain 300 metrin päässä keskeiseltä Tartinin aukiolta. Hostellin kaikissa huoneissa on ilmainen WiFi ja kaapeli-tv. Kaupungin rannat, päälinja-autoasema, museot ja baarit ovat kaikki lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä. Kaikissa huoneissa on joko ilmastointi tai tuuletin. Kaikki asumisyksiköt ovat yksinkertaisesti sisustettuja, ja niihin sisältyy pääsy jaettuun kylpyhuoneeseen, jossa on wc. Vastaanotto voi auttaa järjestämään aktiviteetteja, kuten koskenlaskua, patikointia, sukellusta ja snorklausta. Hostelli voi muuten järjestää päivittäisiä retkiä Postojna-luolaan sekä skootterin- ja polkupyöränvuokrauspalveluja. Portorožin lentokenttä on noin 8 km kaupungin ulkopuolella. Kroatian rajalle on matkaa 12 km, ja viehättävä italialainen Triesten kaupunki on 35 km:n päässä.

"Marko was very helpful - especially when I got delayed trying to find parking and he waited to check me in. The room was spacious, comfortable with everything needed including a mini fridge which was unexpected. The bathroom was clean and everything functioning."

"It was nice, comfortable, tidy, clean and quiet, no steet noise whatsoever and the air conditioning was a welcome addition! 2 out of the 3 floors in the hostel have bathrooms with shower units which is a huge plus, and the room also included a mini fridge and a healthy amount of power plugs and USB ports for charging electronics. We felt very well taken care of."
