"Location is, without traffic, about 15 mins from the airport. When you book, send a message to the hotel ( it will go to the owner ) and ask for a transfer. It is 15000 CAF ( £20 / €23 ) each way and that can be added to your check out total. NOTE: No cards accepted, either pay cash in local / USD / Euro. Rooms are fairly basic but serve the purpose and all have mosquitoe nets, when it’s that time of the year and also air conditioning. There’s a pool which is lovely. The owner is French and a lovely guy but speaks no English. Make sure you download Google Translate, it will come in handy. The WiFi is surprisingly pretty good, even when around the pool."

"Lämpimässä ateriassa oli monia vaihtoehtoja. Kokeilimme melkein kaikkia ja ne olivat todella maukkaita. Altaan vesi oli ihanan virkistävää ja puhdasta. Upealle rannalle oli 2 min matka, tosin työmaan läpi. Jokainen omistajaperheen ja henkilökunnan jäsen oli ystävällinen ja palveli kaikissa yksilöllisissäkin tarpeissa iloisesti hymyillen. Saimme kokea olevamme ainutlaatuisia ja arvokkaita ihmisiä, kuin läheisiä ystäviä. Tunsimme olevamme turvasatamassa, josta paikan nimi kertoo. Ilmapiiri oli rento, mutta silti arvokas."

"If you are looking for a real natural experience and a unique and tranquil place to stay, then this place is perfect! Really off side from noise and lots of people, beautiful nature around (Baobabs, river at the end of the lagoon, birds). The main house with the restaurant has beautiful places to sit inside and outside; the pool is not deep and with salty water, but a nice refreshment. Meals were very good, especially lunch and dinner (dish is suggested and discussed, freshly cooked). The room was nicely decorated and very cosy and clean, some steps away from the main house. Staff (Celine from far and Ibou on site) was very helpful and kind, helped with all activities we wanted to do (arrangement of transport to the airport and to Somone, reservation for a pirogue tour through the lagoon and a horse ride along the beach). Highly recommendable!"

"Peace, calm, quiet, creative, soulful, great staff, Matar, Nima, and Mame Cheikh au Top ! if I could I would have booked it for a month. This place is a must if you want an escape from the craziness of Dakar. If you're an artist, or a group of friends, The house is clean, crazy/funny decorated, very creative, the owner is a famous photographer videographer and you have access to his material. such a great place and an underrated treasure. Some would say expensive, I would say first :No, it's not, compared to anything around and especially in Dakar. Last but not least every house with a soul has a price."

"The property was a world of art as well as a work of art. The tranquility and peacefulness of the environment was special! An incredibly interesting property. It was difficult to go explore the Island as we just wanted to stay and explore the property 😄. Beautiful place and wonderful hosts! We are very great full to have discovered it and looking forward to returning!"
