"We had an awesome stay at the accomodation. The host was exceptional, he showed us around the whole location and we were invited to try the best coffee for free. Also he knows English very well. The terrasse has an amazing view and the food was very delicious. Thank you for everything, we will definitely come back!"

"It was very interesting to stay in the heart of São Tomé's coffee production and gain an understanding of how this industry has shaped the history of the island and keeps shaping the life in this region. As this guest house only has three rooms it was easy to connect with fellow travelers, but it was even more meaningful to connect with the villagers."

"We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The place is simple but charming, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is extremely caring and attentive. The manager is particularly thoughtful and truly concerned about his guests’ well-being. He does everything he can to ensure everyone has a great experience at his property. The value for money is good. A special touch we really appreciated: the manager offered us a package of freshly ground coffee from the hotel — such a kind gesture! We recommend this place. "Charming little guesthouse in the village of monte café. Village life continues outside and the old coffee plantation structures are still clearly visible. If you are lucky and the clouds clear you have a really nice view on Sao Tomé and the sea. Do not forget to rake a coffee. The owner is really helpful to accommodate all your plans."

"The food was fantastic. The location was perfect for discovering local coffee culture and village life. There was a beautiful waterfall to visit and an old coffee plantation to hike to. Also, the host was most welcoming and did everything possible to make our stay a delight. It is much cooler in the mountains than in the lowlands and that made hiking so much more enjoyable."

"House is beautiful,spacious and clean. Has everything you need for your holiday. Place is surrounded by plenty of tropical trees and plants and birds singing. Hosts are very welcoming and happy to assist with everything. I recommend Casa Augusto."

"Rooms are spread over several terraces with lots of flowers. We were on the top and had a great view. Being at elevation, it's nice and cool at night. No fans needed. Great new showers with good hot water. They have a pump system through which there is still water when the power is out. A generator is turned on if there is a power cut in the morning or evening. The restaurant is very good. During lunch it is particularly well visited. For breakfast and dinner it's primarily hotel guests. Great breakfast with lots of fruits and good bread. Dinner was a daily changing dish by a daily rotating local chef. Large parking lot. Nearby attractions are Monte Café and Cascata de São Nicolau."

"Fiquei apenas por uma noite pois foi a última noite antes da partida, mas posso dizer que fiquei surpreendida. A localização é meio escondida, apesar de muito central, e por fora a entrada mete um pouco de medo mas, ao entrar vê-se logo o pátio super agradável e as portas de vidro para o quarto que até é espaçoso. Tem boa luminosidade também. Tem uma secretária simpática, internet, mini fridge, cama grande e um espelho corpo inteiro que para as mulheres é sempre uma mais valia! O rapaz que não recebeu foi super querido, recebeu-nos tarde explicou tudo bem explicadinho e notou-se que tinham o negócio bem organizado."

"The accommodation is a little out of the way, but is an absolute winner in terms of price-performance ratio. There is nothing missing. About a 25 minute walk to a well-stocked supermarket and the top restaurant Papa Figo. To the beach, turn left and go straight on. There is also a bank branch with an ATM on the way."
