"We loved being in rural Uruguay in a home with distinctive decor and furnishings rather than in a hotel (which Mariscala doesn’t offer anyway). The accommodation was very comfortable and well appointed. Communication with the host was excellent despite our lack of Spanish. Thoroughly recommend a stay here. We had superb meals at La Cochina de Homero despite Google Maps calling it “fast food”, and we bought top quality bread, vegetables etc. from the SuperBrisa to eat “at home”."
