"We stayed in the beach bungalows, and the rooms were stunning. Outdoor shower facilities, two story building, a few issues here and there with the plumbing which were quickly solved, but the team was absolutely amazing, they prepared a special set up for a private dinner, and the food was home made and off menu and absolutely delightful. The views to the beach were incredible (would definitely recommend a sunrise early wake), with the beach only a few meters away. Breakfast was a mix of a la carte and buffet, lovely and gentle service, sunny throughout and the area has wind so you'll never overheat. The pool and service there was incredible, there's sufficient shade everywhere, and the prices are more than reasonable."

"The Sands Beach Resort is secluded from the major tourist spots, which is exactly what we chose, making the location perfect for us! The hotel is simply wonderful! A very small hotel for about 40 guests with a dreamily large and beautiful garden area with a palm-lined pool and beach! The staff, from reception to the chef, waiters, chefs, and even the chambermaid, were incredibly friendly and helpful, and always in good spirits! The beach is equally stunning! The buffet breakfast and dinner were also exceptionally well-prepared. Many thanks to the Sands Beach team; we had a fantastic stay! We will definitely be back!"

"10/10! Amazing house, a piece of paradise. Right on the beach, quiet, but not that far from lovely Paje, it was perfect! The sunrise from the bed and the breakfast on the rooftop are forever on my mind. Super convenient for a large group, we had the best family holidays. We didn’t have to do anything, the amazing staff was cooking breakfast and cleaning every day, and they were super responsive if we needed anything. They also cooked for us some amazing seafood barbecues as an extra for dinner, and helped us book drivers for our day trips and activities. We had couple of time the power going off and they have generator for essentials (such as fan, wifi, lights etc.) Hot water and good water pressure, good wifi and even outside near the pool. We will definitely be back"

"Perfect location, proximity to the beach, very clean, pool in perfect condition, great decoration. Lisa and her team were very helpful and kind, from last minute laundry to helping us get a sim card or spending time explaining how life is in Zanzibar."

"We had our own villa, so only used the restaurant once, but had deliveries, food was very good"

"Kitchen facilities were very poor, only 1 fork for 8 people, 4 coffee cups, 3 bowls, 1 spoon. When we asked things were finally delivered. Even had to request a cloth and dish towels, absolutely nothing in the kitchen."
