"Beautiful setting amongst lush vegetation. Fantastic rooms and bungalows with a wooden construction and lovingly updated for tourism. Lovely place to relax and unwind. Quiet location, but either a 10-15minute walk to Chethy beach, which is huge and deserted or a 5 minute tuk-tuk ride to Marari beach where there are more snack shacks and facilities."

Would have liked a kettle to make tea/coffee and a fridge, but don’t let that minor detail put you off…it’s beautiful.

The shelf above the bed head is rather low and it is very easy to bump into it. The duvet is rather short for an adult.

"Henkilökunta oli vilpittömän ystävällistä ja palvelevaa. Paikka on todella siisti ja hyvin hoidettu. Moniin yksityiskohtiin on kiinnitetty paljon huomiota. Aamiainen oli runsas, mukana mm. itse tehtyjä leivoksia, omasta tarhasta poimittuja viikunoita sekä mansikoita. Tunnelma oli rauhallinen."

Huone ilman parveketta oli aavistuksen pimeä. Olisi ollut suhteellisen helppo rakentaessa laittaa ikkunan viereen ovi, jolloin huoneeseen olisi saatu parveke. Parvekkeen puuttuminen vähensi huoneen viihtyisyyttä. Osassa huoneista on parveke. Sänky oli kova ja se vaatisi ehdottomasti pintaa pehmentävän petauspatjan. Tästä annoimme myös rakentavan palautteen ja petauspatja olisi meille sitten hoidettu, mutta siinä vaiheessa emme enää sitä kaivanneet. Paikan syytä ei ole se, että ilma on selkeästi viileämpää noissa korkeuksissa, kuin rannan tuntumassa. Auringon laskun jälkeen tuli melko viileää, eikä enää ulkona tehnyt mieli olla. Uima-allas oli hieman liian kylmä. Lämpimät illat ja uintimahdollisuus oli juuri yksi, mitä tulimme Sisiliasta hakemaan ja siitä syystä lähdimme tästä muuten loistavasta paikasta pari päivää aikaisemmin, kuin oli alkuperäinen suunnitelma.

"This is very peaceful independent house. The atmosphere was really good. Owner picked me up and drop me off when I checked in and checked out. It is far away from the town, but local buses are running regularly. Easy to catch them."

The road to the house was not easy to walk when it gets raining. Dry season should be ok though.

"had a super nice stay in Villa Sofia, room is very clean and comfy abd the house comes with a beautiful garden. the owners are so so nice and helpful, enjoyed chatting with them and wished i have had more time :) short walk to the waterfall is also a big plus and busses pass right at the house. highly recommend💚"

"Location for us was wonderful. Nice views, quiet village, close to a few beautiful hikes. Spacious apartment with a kitchen that had everything you needed (no oven, no foods like salt/sugar/butter/tea/coffee, so bring your own) and a large balcony. Kind host with sweet dog."

For us, it was perfect.

"This is not a standard hotel or gite or whatever, this is a special place. Expect no luxury here, this is not what Karims guesthouse is about. It is about being in a small village and in nature. Basically, this is as close to a home stay as you can book on Booking. You can choose a room or the stilted house (recommended) in a garden full of interesting plants. Your water comes from a well or the river, your coffee directly from the bushes around you, and the food from...actually I don't know where, but it is amazing. One of the Kpime waterfalls is just a short, but nice walk away, and you can roam the village or take a long walk to Yikpa waterfall (~4 h one way). And when you come back, you lay in a hammock with a fresh and local cocoa or sit in the garden. And the best, you don't need to be in Kpalime, with all the chaos, noise, and smells. Although it is something different, I really enjoyed my stay. Karim is a fantastic host and La montagne verde exactly my type of stay."

Just be aware what you are booking, and there is nothing negative about it.

"Вчора повернулися з подорожі Карпатами, зокрема відвідали термальні басейни в Косино (святкували ювілей чоловіка) Готель має гарне розташування локаційно, приємні господарі і затишне подвірʼя ( мангал, бесіди, дитячий майданчик, парковка) В готелі чистенько, приємно здивувала кухня та все необхідне від посуду до техніки. В номері є все для відпочинку. Дякуємо Марʼяні і колективу. РЕКОМЕНДУЮ!!!"

Не працював басейн в готелі бо нерентабельно його обслуговування.

"The view from restaurant is awsome, not many places in the world like this. Maria took care of us with love. Breakfast excellent, local fruits, tea and coffee, omelette. Excellent grilled tuna or other fish for lunch or dinner. Cottage was clean, with a view on ocean. We were almost alone there. It is possible to pay by eur or dobra. Maria also arranged tacxi for the airport."

"The owner of the place and her family were very friendly and helpful and helped me organize rental car and transport to the airport."

There are some minor damages which could get repaired but thats just to improve the oberall look of the place. Beside that everything was perfect and it was a very pleasant stay

Cleanliness could be improved. Flies and mosquitoes due to location. You need to keep fly and mosquitoes repellent

"Great welcome, the owner Pao was very attentive to my needs, brought me to breakfast in town every morning, his wife cooking me food for lunch and/or supper. I was by myself but didn’t feel alone having the family around, and Pao included me in his evenings with his friends. I had my own room with mattress on the ground firm but I find comfortable with a mosquito net. Shared bathroom but very clean toilet. Shower with the bucket with cold water - but invigorating and makes the experience authentic ! Nice setting with greenery. Hammocks to relax."

No WiFi available unfortunately, but I had my own SIM card with lots of gigabytes so it didn’t bother me to use my 5G. Roosters singing in the evening or early in the morning - but you get used to it / or put earplugs and it’s fine! Again it makes you feel in the countryside so it’s part of the experience!
