"Absolutely brilliant hostel. Staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. It’s very social and easy to meet other travellers. The hostel is very well situated, as a solo female traveller I felt very safe at all times. I don’t want to leave , the place feels like home now."
"Absolutely nothing."
"Top-notch Convenience: Prime location with a 3-minute walk to the metro, reaching the historic church district in 15 minutes. Great Accessibility: Only a 10-minute walk to the Egyptian Museum. Wonderful Experience: Friendly staff, spacious/clean rooms, and a tasty Egyptian breakfast. Scenic Views: Crossing the bridge to Cairo Tower is beautiful, and the view from the top is a must-see. Value for Money: All these perks at a very reasonable price."
"Old building but renovated room"

"Shoutout to the people running this hostel! Always smiling, they are very attentive to their guests. Sandra always have great tips! Breakfast is simple, but it’s fresh and there’s all you need to fill up your stomach for the day. Great restaurant 2 minutes from the reception. You’ll get nothing better for the price. Evening beer at their terrace is priceless."

"Basic but clean place with a lovely rooftop in a great location! Plus the staff are all lovely, make you feel at home and are ready to help out."
"Really nothing, everything was great."
"A small hostel in Downtown, located on the top floor of a building (there is an elevator in the building). By Egyptian standards, I think it's really good. Cozy common areas, especially the terrace, where Egyptian breakfast is served every morning. They also keep pigeons, which is quite common in Cairo. I stayed in two rooms (had to move on the last night). Everything is clean. There is a bit more noise from the street during the day, but this is Downtown :) Earplugs will come in handy for sensitive sleepers at night :) The nights were a bit cooler during my stay, but the warm blankets allowed me to sleep warmly. Very convenient location according to my needs. Very nice and helpful staff. Special thanks to the employee who helped me call an inexpensive taxi to the airport in the evening. Thank you for everything, it was very cosy stay in Cairo :)"
"On the last day during breakfast I was asked to move to another room. I understand that sometimes it happens, but I had to rush to the tour, so I was a bit stressed to make it all happen :) The showers in the small bathrooms are attached to the walls, so the water splashes everywhere and it's hard to drain. Night lights by the beds would be nice. The towels are very worn out, they need newer ones. Poor, intermittent wifi connection"
"Staff were the best part about the stay. So friendly, going above and beyond to help me find food late at night."

"If you’re going to Cairo, don’t think twice about staying here! You’ll feel at home right away. Everyone who works here makes you feel super welcome, like family. Thanks for an unforgettable stay! Lola , George , Sandra , Yousef, Mohamed and Heba :) When I come back, I’ll definitely stay here again. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I carry you all in my heart."

"The people that run the place....honestly the best team you could imagine...very friendly and helpful!"
"Talking as an European...I missed a bit of black pepper for the lovely eggs in the morning, haha...so in other words: nothing important was lacking or missing 😅"
"A pleasant stay, although short for me. The terrace is lovely. The hotel is very cozy. We were right in the heart of Cairo, close to Tahrir Square. The neighborhood is lively and pleasant. Thank you to Georges and Peter for their warm welcome and attentiveness. I will be back 🙏🌿"

"The accommodation is very simple, but everything was spotless and well cared for, which made the stay very comfortable. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights of our stay was the food – they prepared delicious, home-cooked Egyptian meals for both dinner and breakfast. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with great care."

"Amir Palace Hotel is located in a working-class neighborhood near the station. I’m the side streets there are all kind of small shops and market stalls. The staff of the hotel do not speak English very well, but they are friendly and helpful. They arranged for me to travel to Abydos by taxi and with a translator to visit the famous Temple of king Seti I and the 5,000 year old enclosure of king Khasekhemwy."
