"This apartment is so thoughtfully done. Everything you could need like a home from home. The communication from the staff was exceptional from messaging before our stay to being greeted personally at the property even though we arrived late. Every question answered thoroughly and promptly. Jack went through our location and directions to all attractions so we could orientate ourselves. The apartment is beautifully clean, well kitted out kitchen, all utensils you could need. Comfortable beds with black out blinds throughout the property making for a great night's sleep. We walked into central Lille in about 25 minutes and could park right outside the apartment for free as it was the weekend. We loved it, our first trip to Lille was great!"

Hosts Jack and Sophie provided a generous welcome 'hamper'. They responded quickly to our queries. The area was very mixed, lots of different shops and restaurants! Market days were especially enjoyable! Other parts of Lille were easily accessible because the apartment was very close to the metro."

"Very clean, and remarkably well equipped kitchen for this sort of place - including salt, pepper and oil so we could cook without having to buy all the extras. There is a dishwasher and washing machine but we didn’t use them."

"The fan in the bathroom is a bit noisy and permanently on. The mezzanine level has a very low ceiling - it says in the description but I did not understand the way it was phrased."

"The studio flat was spotlessly clean and had all the facilities we needed for some moderate self-catering. The bed was huge! Bathroom was clean and quite large considering it's a studio flat. It was quiet and the shutters meant it was perfectly dark at night. It was a bit warm even with no heating on so we had the window open (in November). If you feel the cold though, the heating is very effective. The owner was extremely helpful and welcoming. There are a couple of bakeries and a mini supermarket in walking distance, and the metro. The area is a little dark at night but we felt safe as two female travellers. It was only about 30 minutes to walk to the centre of old Lille - we didn't use the metro much as a result."

"Nothing, it was a great place. One suggestion would be to make the TV into one that guests can cast to so that non-French speakers can watch a bit of TV in the evening via a phone or laptop."

"Very close to excellent metro line. Less than 10 mins into Lille old town. Property was clean and comfortable for our short stay. Secure parking was a welcome bonus (additional cost but worth it). Communication with Sophie and Jack was excellent, and Jack was really helpful settling us in."

"The area around the apartment looks run down, but when you see it during the bustling Sunday market it comes alive. It’s vibrant and multi cultural with families seeking bargains from the many many stalls."
