Heritance Kandalama asemoi rauhallisella kukkulapaikalla, jolta avautuu panoraamanäköala Sigiriyan kallioille. Kandalama Heritance on 20 minuutin ajomatkan päässä UNESCOn maailmanperintökohteisiin kuuluvasta 2 000 vuotta vanhasta Dambullan luolatemppelistä sekä Sigiriyan kalliolinnoituksesta. Tämä 5 tähden majatalo on 3,5 tunnin ajomatkan päässä lentoasemalta. Tilavissa huoneissa on rottinkikalusteet ja puupanelointi. Omassa valoisassa kylpyhuoneessa on suuret lasi-ikkunat. Paikan päällä on tenniskenttiä, hyvin käytössä kuntosali ja maineikas Coco Spa. Majoituspaikka tarjoaa erilaisia retkiä, kuten pyöräilyretkiä ja järvisafareita, joilla pääset tutustumaan Sri Lankan henkeäsalpaaviin maisemiin. Aloita päiväsi aamiaisella järvinäköaloja ihaillen tai nauti illallista hotellin vieressä sijaitsevassa luolassa. Kanchana-ravintolassa järjestetään päivittäin teemailtoja, joissa on tarjolla kansainvälisiä ruokia. Ravintolasta on näköala Kandalamajärvelle ja kohti Sigiriyan linnoitusta.

"We had such a good, memorable time here. Taken very well care of by Manju (the owner), we enjoyed a very comfortable stay in the wild, off the beaten track, with beautiful nature all around us. The food was delicious and filling, vegetarian and vegan diets catered for completely. They lit us a fire one night and we enjoyed dinners by candlelight every night. The beds were super comfy and the large hut that we stayed in was very spacious - good for all bags and clothes. Manju organised our safari day and our trip to a local beach. He was ready to meet our every need and was very kind and friendly with our children too."

Our half day (evening) Safari guided by Nikki was great and we noted that most other vehicles in block A didn’t have a guide and hence struggled to spot wildlife. Some food was very good - especially the curries at lunch. We loved the set up for the dinner by the bonfire. Rooms were cleaned thoroughly."
