"This is a lovely place to stay for anyone who is wanting a break from hotel/hostel life. Rodrigo and his wife are so welcoming and kind. Everything that you need is there (coffee, tea, cold water, a fully equipped kitchen), including information and a laundry service that is great value for money (possibly the best that I have had in my 5 weeks of travelling so far!). The location - a short drive from the main Belle Mare beach and not too far from the main regional hub of Flacq (with its twice weekly market and also Super-U for those who prefer more modern facilities) - was good and the walk from the accommodation to the dining area through an abundance of local floral was a delight. But biggest praise must go to owners Roshan and Sang (and their son Kite) who were so warm and welcoming - they made each guest feel like a VIP, nothing was too much trouble for them and the food (breakfast and dinner) freshly prepared by Sang each day was varied but always delicious. We had a wonderful stay with no complaints whatsoever. Well, actually, just one - we never did get to see Roshan feeding the Dodo."

The bed wasn't very comfortable. The matress is very hard and the bed is noisy with every movement. Unfortunately, we didn't have a good sleep because of this.

He is very friendly and very human person. We had our car broken and he had helped us to push the car to car service and let us to store our staff in his house off the charge. 1 socket per room is very little. No heaters in the room so in the night (we were in August) is a little chill but blankets are warm

"Very friendly and welcoming staff, everyone was so warm and kind. We extended our stay here as I was unwell and we asked for a lighter/quieter room. We were promptly moved to a lovely, large light room. Big clean bathroom and a really comfy cosy bed. The roof top here is brilliant, amazing views and super tasty food. The breakfast each morning was good, and different every day - always served with a smile. We extended our stay in the end for a week, and booked our trek with Basu at the hotel - which was organised perfectly. Overall really good value for money here, great location before a trek."

I simply didn't get why some taxi drivers do not enter the driveway, preferring to pick-up or drop 20 meters away, on a crossroad. The street is open both ways. But that's rather a question to the taxi services.
