The authenticity, genuine friendliness and welcoming hearts of the people of the community made this stay incredibly unique and one of the best experiences of my life. When staying here one can get closer to locals, animals, cultural sights, traditions, local way of life, nature and the PNG culture in general then in any other accommodation. "We had the most amazing time at the Vera Sunset Homestay. Phonephet and his family are very friendly and the island is perfect for a few days off the beaten path. You can just relax in your hammock all day or explore the rural island and play football with the village kids. The food was very good and fresh. The standard of the bungalows is basic and in line with the price. Definitely one of our highlights in hole SOA and we can't wait to come again!"

If you are a light sleeper, you might find the noise from the road (10m away) and the railway behind it excessive, as well as noise from the next door neighbours with small kids, etc.

"Great property in a very quiet location, though still close to the restaurants. Francis has taken personal care of us. House is lovely, clean, kitchen is well equiped. We took tour with Francis as well, both were wonderfull. You can spend your time at the beach and will be there alone most of the time, since the property is small (pls note that swimming is not recommend, as pretty much everywhere on this island). We have very much enjoyed our vacation there."

"The place is a pure perfection, one of the rare occassions where photos don't do the hotel justice. The cabanas are few and set in a beautiful green garden. Our cabana was beautifully decorated, there's a small kitchen with all necessary amnities, a bathroom with hot water, comfy bes and a terrace to relax on while waiting for a rain shower to pass ;) If you're a type of traveler who prefers tranquility, I urge you to stay on Carenero, while visiting Bocas del Toro. It's a short (1min, 1$) drive with a water taxi from Bocas Town and one will come to pick you up as soon as you set your foot on pier. The hotel is only 3min walk from the nearest pier."

It was perfect, by far the nicest place I've ever stayed in during my travels. Has a kind of a honeymoon vibe to it. I wish Booking offered a higher grade for places which exceed all others. 11/10 :)

"Staff were very friendly and werw available for any kind of help. Cleanliness was also good enough including bathrooms. Price was very reasonable. And the location was also on very good spot, kind of centre location to visit the important places in beirut. The highlight were the staff and their behavior. It was a pleasant experience in that hotel."

Just little bit of issue in internet but we only spent night time at the hotel so was not that much of a problem.

"This is a lovely place to stay for anyone who is wanting a break from hotel/hostel life. Rodrigo and his wife are so welcoming and kind. Everything that you need is there (coffee, tea, cold water, a fully equipped kitchen), including information and a laundry service that is great value for money (possibly the best that I have had in my 5 weeks of travelling so far!). The location is perfect for León, I feel lucky to have booked this place."

For me, having visited the Singapore tourism highlights on a previous visit, it was not an issue at all, but good to be aware that those highlights take a bit of time to get to. Also good to be aware you are welcomed into an actual home while the owners are living there. It's part of the charm.
