"Tilaa oli riittävästi ja parveke antoi lisämukavuutta. Hissillä pääsi kerroksiin, eikä tarvinnut matkatavaroita kantaa. Runsas aamiainen, myös gluteeniton vaihtoehto. Ystävällinen henkilökunta."
"Hotelli oli hiukan vaikea löytää oudon nimikilven vuoksi. Alaovella summerin soittaminen toi hiukan lisähaastetta sisään pääsyyn mutta sisälle pääsi aina halutessaan."
"Ihanan 70-lukulainen, persoonallinen pikkuhotelli parhaalla paikalla katedraalin vieressä. Iso huone 501 ja tilava parveke, josta uskomattomat iltanäkymät valojen syttyessä Funchalin rinteille. 5. kerroksessa on myös yleinen iso parveke katedraalille ja merelle päin, kiva istua auringossa. Erittäin siistiä, hyvät sängyt ja kohtuullinen aamiainen. Loistava hinta/laatusuhde."

"The location was excellent. Right next to the Cathedral (the Se). Three minutes from the seafront and the marina. Two minutes from five decent restaurants. Fifteen minutes from the bus stops that take you to the two iconic gardens - Monte Palace and Jardim Botanico. The decor was mid- century modern, lots of beautiful wood and an amazing central staircase. The breakfasts were good with fruit, yoghurts, scrambled eggs and bacon, lots of different breads and good coffee. The room was kept clean and tidied every day. It was a very good size. There is a communal lounge upstairs with a view of the sea and the cruise ships. Friendly staff. The taxi transfer from the airport (and back again at the end of the holiday) was friendly and efficient and in my opinion good value for money."

"Quiet, clean, comfy, friendly, good breakfast that has everything one could think of. Hikers of the fisherman trail should consider the small detour to reach this outstanding place. We hitched there and the very friendly hosts drove us back the next morning (~2km)."

"Cosy room.in a traditional old farm building. The table by the swimming pool had a fabulous vista down the valley to Vizela and beyond; perfect for watching the sunset directly ahead whilst bats fly around and sipping the delicious wine made by the family. We regret not bringing some home! The owner went the extra mile for us, for example taking our laundry and ironing even in the middle of a heatwave"
